My Wedding Business Background
I don’t want to bore you with all the details but here’s a little bit of background on me for those that would like to know more about me and the reasons why I started this blog site for the wedding industry.
Back in 2009, I started my first business. It was a wedding planning company that focused on midstream weddings. I didn’t have a clue how to start a wedding business or even plan a wedding when I first started, so I was always searching for information and courses to help me figure it all out as quickly as I could.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot out there at the time, so I had to figure a lot of this out on my own.
So I learned how to design my website, discovered how to improve my Google ranking with SEO, took a few courses in online marketing, and from there I went on to book over 500 weddings in the space of 7 years.
Why Did I Close My Wedding Business?
I’m a mum of 5! Life use to be hectic, especially because my kids were very active with sports on weekends. And so, I had to make a tough call to quit my business and start something else.
I love the wedding industry and still own and manage a national bridal fairs event company, but I just couldn’t continue working every weekend and missing out on my kids growing up.
So I gave it up and moved into doing something I REALLY LOVE!
I started designing websites, managing social media accounts, creating blog posts, and helping wedding business owners rank their businesses higher on Google.
Since then, I’ve created The Wedding Business Expo, and I continue to offer my done-for-you-services, and wedding business coaching to wedding pros from all around the world.
