Facebook for your Wedding Business

Facebook can be a daunting and frustrating platform for some wedding professionals, especially if you’re trying to use Facebook Ads to grow your wedding business. If you want to know how to really use Facebook for your wedding business, this article will help you.

There are several ways to really use Facebook for your wedding business growth, including:

  • Facebook Groups
  • Facebook Pages
  • Marketplace
  • Lead Generation
  • Stories
  • Facebook Ads
  • And more

How to use Facebook Groups to Grow Your Wedding Business

Facebook groups are a great way to grow your wedding business, but I’m not talking about spamming wedding planning and wedding information groups in your area.

Putting your wedding business advert on every wedding-related Facebook Group will actually damage your wedding business growth. I’ll do a full post on that at some stage in the future – click here to check the blog.

The best way that you could use Facebook Groups to grow your wedding business is to create your own group.

It is very simple to do and if you have enough time to monitor and keep the group engaged and protected from spammers, then you will have a great asset that you can use to promote your business without looking too salesy, pushy, and desperate.

Another way to use Facebook Groups as a tool for your wedding business growth is to join wedding business groups. This will give you the opportunity to build relationships with other vendors in your area.

Grow Your Wedding Business With a Great Facebook Page

So here’s the truth – it is hard to grow your wedding business’s Facebook Page without Facebook Ads, especially for wedding professionals. One of my business pages has over 10,000 people following and liking my page, yet only 200-300 people actually see my posts.

It’s a frustrating truth, but it’s just the way it is.

Thankfully, there is a way around this with Facebook Ads. I like to call this a new-blood campaign. In our industry, there are newly engaged couples popping into the wedding niche every day, therefore, it’s vital that we use specific tools available to us to grab their attention quickly.

I’ll discuss my recommended 3-step Facebook Ads process in more detail in the Facebook Ads section of this post below.

To grow your wedding business with your Facebook business page – you will want to ensure that your page is fully optimized. Make sure your about section is up-to-date and that your links to your website and email are working.

I can assure you that every bridal prospect will check out your website, and your social media accounts, and will research everything they can to find out if you’re a good match for their wedding day needs.

For that reason, you will want to ensure that you are showing off your business in the best light across every platform, including Facebook.

Facebook also allows you to promote your services and shop on your business page. This is very easy to do – here’s a quick guide to follow.

Facebook Marketplace for Wedding Businesses

If you have products for sale – you can sell them to your target audience with the Facebook Marketplace platform.

This is a great tool for specific categories, including wedding invitations, wedding favors, bridal accessories, gifts, honeymoon deals, and much more. You can explore this in more detail here.

Lead Generation from Facebook

One of the best ways to gain leads directly from Facebook is to set up Facebook Messenger and ManyChat.

This free tool automatically adds each lead from your messenger as they start a conversation with you. I have used this tool for years and love its simplicity of it. Set up your free account here.

Add Facebook Messenger Chat Feature to your Wedding Business Website

Another way to generate leads is to add the Facebook messenger chat feature to your website. This allows your audience to chat with you directly from your website, and you can communicate with them from your Facebook Messenger app. ManyChat will automatically add the lead to your leads list.

Should you use Facebook Reviews?

This is definitely a personal decision to make. I turned my Facebook reviews off and I do advise the same for my clients.

Unfortunately, there is some nasty folk in the world that will use tools like this to hurt your business. I believe you should control your reviews and testimonies by adding them as actual posts on your page and website instead.

I’m not saying that you should make up your own reviews or anything underhand like that. I’m just recommending that you keep this incredibly valuable credibility tool in the best way for you and your business.

Facebook Stories

I’m presuming that you have an Instagram account set up for your wedding business and that you know what I mean when I talk about Facebook Stories. But just for the beginners here, Facebook does not have a way for you to add stories directly from your FB account.

To show Facebook stories, you will have to link your Facebook and Instagram accounts so that when you add new stories to your Instagram account – they will automatically show up on your Facebook stories at the top of the page. You can read more about that here.

How to REALLY use Facebook Ads to Grow Your Wedding Business

I’ve seen it time and time again – wedding business pros start their wedding business – stress about bookings – start running ads with desperate offers – and wonder why their ads aren’t converting.

There’s a reason why you are struggling to grow your wedding business or get more wedding bookings and leads from Facebook Ads and that reason is usually that you haven’t set your wedding business up for success first.

In my 12 step program I teach this in greater detail, but just to give you a better understanding of this article. There are 11 steps that you need to take and build up before you even look at the idea of Facebook Ads for conversions.

I do recommend using my new blood Facebook Ads campaigns to build your Facebook page likes and followers, but using any other Facebook Ad strategy too early will be a complete waste of time and money (for most of you).
